INCCOM -3
R & D E (E), Pune is hosting third such conference in the series,
INCCOM -3, with
the theme "Emerging trends in design and manufacture of composites."
INCCOM -1 was
held in Trivandrum and INCCOM
-2 was held
in Bangalore.
CONFERENCE
The conference will bring together the professionals from various
fields of applications of compositeswhich will include defence, industries
and academic involved in the areas of process and product design,
development and research. The event, among other things, will provide
excellent opportunity for participants to know, interact, exchange
ideas, discuss new trends and determine the challenges ahead in the
area of composites for structural applications. The conference will
have both invited and contributed papers.
THEME
The Country, over the last two decades, has witnessed tremendous growth
in the area of Composites. Thanks to the Space programmes, Light Combat
Aircraft development, Missile programmes, Advanced Light Helicopter
programme, Unmanned Air Vehicle development etc., materials and process
engineering witnessed steady progress. As a spin off, Composites in
non-aerospace applications also have received impetus. It is, therefore,
appropriate that the theme of the present Conference has been chosen
as "Emerging trends in design and manufacturing of composites"
Some of the specific topics proposed to be deliberated are

• Advances in polymer matrices
• Testing and qyality control of composites
• Repair of composites and structural rehabitaion
• Engineering applications of composites
• Special application for robust products
• Smart concepts in composites
PARTICIPATION
Participation is solicited from Practising Engineers, Technologists,
Scientists, Researchers, Faculty and Professionals involved in the
area of Composites from Government, Public and Private Sector organisations.
Students involved and interested in Composites are welcome to participate.
CALL FOR PAPERS
Those desirous of presenting papers at this conference are requested
to submit the abstract (not more than 300 words) of their papers,
typed in double space. The abstract shall include the title of the
paper, name(s) and address(es) of the author(s). In case there is
more than one author, the name and address of the lead author shall
be indicated for further correspondence. Acceptance of abstract will
be communicated along with detailed instructions for submitting the
final paper.
REGISTRATION
Those desirous of participating in the conference may send the enclosed
registration form duly filled along with appropriate registration
fee in the form of crossed demand draft drawn in favour of "INCCOM-3"
at payable at the State Bank of India, Khadki R & D E (E) Extension
counter Pune.
